Queen Victoria Coin 1869
6 Answers
Please can anyone identify the denomination of this Victorian coin of 1869 ?
It seems to be made of bronze with the date 1869 beneath the youngish queen's head and 1837 ( start of her reign) under what appears to be a mounted crowned George & dragon.
It is 7/8" (23mm) in diameter with a milled edge. Denomination is not shown. Very good condition with clear markings.
I thought milled edges were only on silver coins of 3d and above.
Thanks
