What the hell? Next they will be saying they are skint and need to close libraries and care homes! God knows how big that climate change department is but you can be sure it will be immune to any cuts. Why cant they just concentrate on the basic services that people need and want? As if a two bit council in the north of England can make a jot of difference to the worlds climate for gods sake!

They closed our local swimming pool for "up to a year" to install "greener" energy systems. Ridiculous.

probably in the next office to the TG Tsar.

My council is so hard up they are selling the mayor's ten year old Jag to help keep the public loos open.

Yes Maggie that is the excuse the lunatic ed Miliband uses to decimate industry and push up our bill's. As if India,  China and others will take any notice of Mr Ed.

A ten year old Jag wouldnt fetch a lot ..   probably scrap value at the most.

The position is really for head caretaker with special responsibility for thermostats.

Well,as long as the local council tax-payers arent paying for it then everything should be okay.
