Arts and Crafts

Don't know whether this belongs in jobs or arts so here it is until it's moved!

I work in a youth club and have to run an arts and crafts programme to try and engage kids between 12 and 16. Sadly I don't have any idea what I should be doing, anybody have any ideas what kind of activities I could do?

I've only thought of frame decorating and jewellery making so far and would much appreciate other ideas, money has to be considered as there isn't much of a budget for the work. Don't worry if particular things seem a bit too girly or a bit too boyie, all ideas welcome!

Go online and sign up to Baker Ross - they've got TONS of stuff! Also, part of the same company, is Yellow Moon which is a fund-raising version of the same. They'll send you a minimum of 20 catalogues to hand out to parents, with a percentage of any orders made using your youth club's code coming back to you in a cheque.

You'll be swamped with ideas, and I can promise you'll have kids itching to join in!!!

They've been fantastic for craft sessions at two play groups I helped to run and I can't praise them highly enough...

Try posting this in the Hobbies Section under Society and Culture. You might get some more good ideas.

what about designing tshirts?
Get each child to bring in a plain white tshirt (Primark for about �1.50 each!!) And get materials to design them with - i know you can get kits but i'm not sure how much they are.....
