I'm knitting a Kaffe Fasset cardigan ('Glorious Knitting', Jack's Back Blouson) and I'm a bit confused by part of the instructions. The whole thing, including sleeves, is knitted on two needles all at once. I've just reached the middle of the back Row 130 and I have to keep 'the pattern correct but reverse the colour sequencing". This is ok but does it mean that the patterns will be off-set left and right when I get back to the front? Has anyone ever knitted this and can they confirm/advise, please.
Thanks.

It's all Greek to me tigerlelly.
However.
When my good lady comes back (5.30.pm) I shall consult her.
She is an expert knitter, and may be able to help you out of your quandry?
Sorry,
Could you explain a bit more?
does this mean you have reached the level of the sleeves?
Kind Regards Elsie.

Hi,
No; the pattern starts off with the right sleeve and then expands to include the right front and the first half of the back, now I am just about to do it all again in reverse with everything still on just the two needles. Because the pattern is basically a zig-zag I'm wondering whether the points of the zig-zag line up exactly when the two fronts meet or whehter they will be off-set. It's not clear from the pictures which don't show the front directly. I was hoping someone woould have knitted the same pattern and could remember . I've knitted loads of K.F's over the years but can't seem to get my head around this one.
Thanks.
Hi tigerlelly,
Elsie here(hubby has done a runner when it comes to knitting!)
Knowing Kafe Fasset (I was on a radio programme about knitting with him) your garment WILL end up correctly.
The other half of the knit should be a mirror image of the 1st half, and as such should match up exactly.
So don't worry too much, just keep knitting away and you will be surprised at just how it works out nicely!
Once you have done a certain number of rows you should see how the rest will develop (and match).
If it looks wrong,or you have any more concerns please DO post.
I haven't as yet knitted anything by Kafe, all mine come out of my head(well they are made from wool! LOL),onto graph paper and then onto the needles.
I hope this helps?

Dear Elsie,
Thanks very much I'll just keep going and monitor as you suggest.
I often do my own stuff too and I never keep to KFs colour schemes as half the fun is seeing what different combinations look like.
Happy Knitting!
