What should I wear?

anything. I don't think people really dress up for afternoon shows.

anyway, you have to dress up a bit to look like you can afford the extortionate bar prices.

Is a professional show in a city/town theatre? if so you might want to dress up a bit, but day clothes, you have to come out afterwards and it's still daylight!

Agree with the above. Whatever you're comfortable with, really. Full opera gown might be a bit over the top, but any reasonably smart daytime outfit would suffice.

I'd be happy to go in jeans, but that's just me.
