I have a 10 dollar coin. On one side it has our Queen and 1974, and on the other side it has Montreal Olymics 1976. I have seen these Olympic coins before but they have had pictures of events on them. Mine has the olympic eblem. Why are there 2 different dates?

they were minted in advance to help finance the games (I believe they've only recently finished paying them off)

I think that the coin was issued in 1974 in commemoration of the 1976 olympics.
