as an avid listener to radcliffe ive heard the count a few times and hes very funny, but who is he ?why have i never heard of him ?is he a real bloke or is he a comedy character?

ive looked at his website and im still none the wiser!

Surprised you haven't heard of him, but I guess some of his best work, like his lead in Bridge Up the River Kwai (the stage version) were some decades ago. I thought he should have played the lead in the film of the same name, and I know I was not alone in this thought - it would have been much funnier. Anyway, quality outs and Count Arthur Strong is still entertaining the masses after all these years, not least with Mark Radcliffe on radio2, I believe he is touring the launch of his autobiography in April and May so you hear all the wonderful stories he has to tell.
