It will never happen. This Royalty thing is here until we are hit by a meteorite and then we will be past caring as we will all be dead. Remember when Diana died....the millions who came out on the streets crying...now that is a millions of votes....i rest my case.

Agreed, heatherglen. Imagine a vote for president! In this age of celebrity worship we'd end up with Elton John or Dido or that Beckham bloke. The British public is not very bright sometimes. There is of course a very big difference between the Family and the Monarchy - it's the latter that counts. Families come and go, but the monarchy lives on.
