i have a couple, my hubbys friends call me reds(red hair) and my mom calls me bits(when i was young she called me a lil bit** i yelled back lil bits)

I have two, at work my nickname is Janet because when I started one lady was adimant my name was Janet. To everyone else im known as bucket (or bucky, kate buck or buck). This one is because when I was a baby I had one of those bibs with a little bucket on it. I used to store my food in and take it round with me. Its wierd how you get so used to nicknames that you don't just respond to them straight away isnt it.

My family pet name is mostly nance (no idea why) or occassionally Dorothy (dad thought it hilarious to yell "Where's Toto?" when my hair was in pigtails).  Now it's just Nat or Nats.

i'm always referred to by my surname which wouldn't be so bad except i share it with a very unattractive celebrity. Everyone thinks its hilarious that we have the same name..Even when visiting the doctors or if i have to sign for something, when they ask for my full name its like i've just done a stand up routine. Even if i start a new job or make new friends as soon as they find out my full name, thats it none refers to me by my christian name again :-(

Lilly or Lillabet because my brother renamed me when I was a baby as he didn't like the name Mum and Dad had picked. It kind of stuck

Our family all seem to have nickname, Spudqueen, Pepe, Shay, Zeus, Pookie, Monster, Mu...........................maybe it's just us!

i always wanted a nickname but never got one. I guess thats good in a way in case i ended up with one i didn't like! Like Allo, when i dyed my hair bright red a few people started calling me Red but that stopped. I just get called K by some people now - it's the first letter of my name, quite a boring one. My best mate sometimes spells my name with a letter L added where there shouldn't be one. This came about from a mis-spell of my name by someone else ages ago that she (and I) found highly amusing.

~Wingnut~ was my nickname at college, 'cos my left ear sticks out a little. People use to ask me wasn't I upset that thats what they used to call me, but I wasn't at all cos we all had nicknames and mine wasn't half as bad as what some of them were called!  I found it quite endearing really, it's stuck with me even now 10 yrs on
