Is it just me that thinks this guy is a complete waste of space? I heard someone saying somethink like he is a rock god and that everyone wants to be like him. I don't and I don't get why anyone else would want to. He is a druggy who broke in to his mates house and looks a mess. Am I the only one that thinks this about him?

I don't get it either Milly, but then at 34, I'm certainly not his target audience/fan base.  I do like one or two of his tunes tho.  I never really liked the music rebels who were around when I was young, too much of a goody two shoes I think!

Don't forget - a lot of stuff fed to the papers is rubbish. The PR boys worked out long ago that blokes in bands can be made 'bad' and sales of discs go up. Bad publicity works and of course has to be somewhat lived up to.  Some of the things said about him or anyone else are not always true.  The Stones' manager worked out early on that girls like even more the blokes their mum wouldn't like!   No excuse for druggies though, if he really is one. I haven't heard his music but maybe that lives up to the hype. I should have thought that Kat Moss could have done better for herself.

I don't see what the fuss is about, the band he used to be isn't exactly stratospheric and he's really just wasted his life. I don't see why anyone is remotely interested in him let alone glorifying him as if he actually had some talent lurking under there somewhere!

Artful - Pete Doherty was frontman for the Libertines and then when they sacked him formed Baby Shambles. Both Indie/rock bands. To be honest most people have only heard of him since breaking in to his bandmates house. He is also Kate Moss's boyfriend.

Anyway, Pete is a pretty good songwriter and looks the part, but really, didn't he get any "little chats" about the dangers of hard drugs when he was at school? I have no sympathy for the bloke.At least he has some money and people who care about him, unlike lots of other people in a similar position.He also reminds me of Peter off "Fame Academy", if any other saddoes remember him (an indie-rock wannabe who, I believe now "dates" some b-list kids TV presenter or other).

Yeah I remember him jamesy boy. I remember seeing the picture of him falling out of clubs in the newspapers and thinking, what a loser. Oh well, gives us something to talk about doesnt it.
