barcelona resturants

hi i am planning a weekend in barca and i am staying at the ramblas area. Does anyone know of an authentic spanish resturant to go to. And also a club later wear we can dress to impress and let our hair down

one of my friends has just come back from there and she said there was a restaurant called The Taxidermist (sounds lovely doesn't it) but she ate there 3 times as it was so good.

Just off the Ramblas is one of the most famous restaurants in town it's called El Caricole (the snail) used to be like sitting in a public convenience but food was delicious.

Las Carcolas is definatly worth the visit. Best tapas, snails, roasted chicken is to die for, and did I mention the Sangria? I first went there in 1973, back in 1985 and the only thing that had changed was that the grandfather had passed away and the grandson was running the place. I have had many good reports on the place through the years and will definatly plan my trip to Spain around this resturant. A short walk from the Ramblas and the statue of Columbus. Enjoy!
