Bono shades

Those wraparound shades that Bono's always wearing these days. Are they prescription glasses or is he just a bit of a twit?

I reckon there bifocal, he is getting on a bit now. He's got a reading pair too with them chains that go around your neck.

I love & play a lot of U2, but am not very keen on Bono, mainly because I think he's too full of himself - maybe hence the wearing of stoopid glasses!

I'm with Smudge on this one. I love the music but not keen om him. It's the same with Sting. Have always loved his music but after seeing him in concert I lost everything for him. God that man loves himself. He couldn't wait to take his top off. It did my head in.

I have never really liked U2s music.  But whatever you think about Bono and the lads they do a lot for charity.

Yep, I think he's a decent bloke, but just once I'd like to see a picture of him where he wasn't wearing a smug grin and silly shades. If they're prescription lenses I'll forgive him though.

I heard that he had an allergy to red wine and that, if he drank any, the area around his eyees becomes blotchy. Apparently he prefers to wear the glasses rather than avoid the wine.

Lorcan - If that's true I forgive him for that too. I'd do the same.

You are all jumping to conclusions - he said in an interview that his eyes get affected by the light - not just stage lights - and that's why he needs the specs.

BTW sometimes jumping to conclusions is the only excerise I get...
