What I'm trying to do is establish the Arabic version for 'he who is crowned with laurels' or simply 'crowned with laurels' from which the Latin 'Laurentius' came, and from which all European versions are derived. A follow-up question, therefore, could be: What is the Arabic form of Stephen (which is the Greek version of Lawrence - if you see what I mean)?
