My brother is in love with a girl from Poland. The thing is that she thinks of goping back to her home country in 5 years time. My brother won't go because he won't get a job (language barrier etc) and she is unwilling to stay here.

Do you think that it makes sense to continue this relationship?

Yep~anything could happen within the 5 years, he could learn to speak Polish, she could decide to live here, the list is endless. At the risk of sounding mushy, if you've found love, don't let it go!

From what you have written here and previously, am I correct in saying that you are Polish but your brother is not?

I ask this because the main reason you specify (of the many possible) for him not being able to move to Poland is the language problem. Could you not help him with that?

As Poland is now in the EU, getting a job should not be problematic.

I think anything could happen in 5 years(I agree it shouldn't take you brother that long to learn Polish,a small thing if he really loves her) just let them sort it out for themselves. Sorry, but the fewer people interfering the better!

I think I'd rather have 5 years of happiness and then the memories after the split (if it were to happen) than to throw in the towel so early. I'd just let them do it their way and enjoy the time they do share together.
