Can anyone recommend a good hotel in the centre of Barcelona ??

The Catalonia Aragon is all right, a bit like a Holiday Inn. It's near Clot Metro station, not exactly in the centre of the city but not too far out, and easy to get to the city centre by Metro.

The Arts Hotel is the best bit pricey but its lush

Try Hotel Jardi, which is off The Ramblas. It overlooks Placa del Pi and Placa Sant. Josep Oriol 1. We had a room with a small balcony - wonderful, but be prepared for some noise outside. It was about 40 euros per night (breakfast not included) and was very clean.Would go there again.
