Does anybody else get hassle from their girlfriend EVERYTIME they want to go out without them. I get told the only reason I want to go out is to do some "WHORING" . I am also not allowed to buy lads magazines, and have been told when i behave like this that, if you want a girlfriend why act like you want to be single

Have you got a girlfriend who tells you this or is it just a question? If you have got a girlfriend tell her to grow up! My boyfriend has just got back from a stag do in Ireland (not his own stag do) and i was very happy for him to go and he had a fabulous time(sp)!

As much as couples love each other its good to have time apart it makes you appreciate each other more and i love going out with my girlies.

For the lads magazines thing, well, i aint got a perfect body and the girls in the magazines have and have been air brushed to perfection but as long as men understand that real women dont all look like this and dont expect them to and still think their girlfriend is beautiful i dont see the problem

Before I married, I dated a girl like that. The more constricting she became, the more I desired to be free, and ultimately we parted ways.

Later, she came round and understood that men like their freedom, their mates, their pints, and their lads magazines. Dating was much more pleasant, and ultimately we married.

lol, it needs to be a happy medium ... its hard work sometimes getting it there though!!! My OH is a guess a "typical" bloke, he has a lads night out 1-2 times a week and I generally drop him off and pick him up, when he is out I see my girls ... I hate and yet love spending time away from him (proper time I mean like weekends!) I always miss him loads but I like it because I appreciate him even more when I get home!

As to the girly mags, he doesn't buy those so I don't know but he does watch them now and again and it really doesn't bother me any more ... think it just comes with time and feeling secure in your relationship :-) I mean I am never going to look like those girls but I know he doesn't fancy them, it is just a bloke thing!! I mean if we always understood you lot what would the world come to?!?!

If she is telling you what to do though that is wrong, if it really upsets her she neds to explain to you why and then hopefully you can work out something in the middle which makes you both happy ... but you can't tell someone else what to do that is just plain wrong!

Sorry to repeat previous posts but yeh, finding a comprimise is definetely the way forward. I am 23 and have been with my OH since i was 16. We are a good couple becuase we spend time apart, this makes coming home to each other so much more special. He goes to the pub once a week with his mates and me and my girl mates go for a few drinkies. then once a month we might go a big night out -sometimes together, sometimes seperatly. Our mates are in couples too, so its certainly easier as we are all in the same boat. When it comes to the lads mags - if she is particularly sensitive about her image, I probably wouldnt have them lying about the house, - have you tried watching sexy films together -that way you can oggle the women and she might actually enjoy it too!! I am always happy for my bloke to go out with his mates as he is for me to go out as we trust each other but if you've given her reason not to trust you !! this may be why she isnt happy for you to go out, if you havent then get rid!

I am quite happy if my husband wants to go out with his mates. I am more worried about whether or not he is safe in this "modern day world" than whether or not he is out "whoring" (so delicately put!). That's because I trust him.

If he wants porn mags, fine. I might even have a look as well.

So long as he doesn't mind me going out for a night on the town with my mates either.

Agree entirely with those who said that its all a bit of give and take/compromise. If your girlfriend expects to go out clubbing with her mates, she shouldn't complain if you want to do the same with yours.
