So Colourful & Carefree

A would of loved to of been a young adult then. The future looked so bright and the music was great. Everyone looked smart. It do's seem so monoculturel then tho ( am not sure if that's the right term) compared with my visits to London in recent years.

it wasn't so monocultural, there was a thriving black community in Nottinghill and other areas. It was three years later and i dated someone from that community, scandalous in those days

I was in London then, just finished university and starting work. It was a great time to be young. There was a lot of optimism about, jobs were there and the music was great.

so it was, i was quite young, but got involved in the fashion, music.

its allso nice to see a time when peopel walked down the high street dressed smartly without a burger or coffee in there hands and no phone at there ear or hoodie covering there face. (and no masks either)

no one thought then that the world would turn on it's head. It was a fairly carefree time, and one i don't think will happen again

I thought I posted an answer...instead I got distracted looking at videos of NYC in 1967...which is where I was.
It certainly wasn't as colourful, and I see in London everyone (female!) wore skirts. I don't remember them being worn quite as much though I may be wrong. London streets were certainly cleaner.

I bet l j, I was born in 1958, so it passed me by really, too young to really experience it all.

The streets were cleaner. People seemed less likely to look for the opportunity to rob you all the time, so much more trustworthy. There was a lot of optimism in the air and friendly and helpful.
Lived in London at this time and so glad I did.

Douglas you are so very right. But you have to remember no fast food and no,or very little, eating and drinking when just walking about.

fatties were often those getting on their years, i have endless photo's of family, gran in particular and her mates who were most definitely not slim.
