What do Birmingham, Bristol, Chester, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Norwich, Nottingham, Oxford, Sheffield, Stoke have which Brighton, Derby, Peterborough, Preston,Southampton, Sunderland and Wolverhampton do not ?

My guess would be the first lot are cathedral cities, but I dont know. You could google each name followed by the word cathedral and see
Thats not it don. Peterborough has one of the biggest cathedrals in England.

could it be a canal ?
I know for a fact Preston, Derby and Wolverhampton have canals so its not that.
I'm dying to know the answer!

In some cities there is a Saturday sportspaper,


in Bham its the Sports Argus,in Manchester its the Pink and in Sheffield I think its a green paper.Is this the answer?
