US dollars, who has more

Does the rest of the world have more US dollar currency (in bank notes) than what is present inside the USA. This includes currency in circulation, stashes in homes and banks.

It's unlikely. Although Sterling and Dollars are international trading currencies, people don't hold physical dollars etc. There's little point, as international deals using dollars are seldom done in cash! Unless your selling drugs or guns.

xrayspecs....i am not so sure it is unlikely. The chinese have been reported to be hoarding a lot of dollars and the dollar is the preferred currency in many african and south american countries. It is traded and used like normal currency in many far flung areas of the world.

Sorry Dom, I was asking you, but from your answer I can tell you're probably aren't! The reason I asked is that this was part of a plot in the book.
