Religious sect?
7 Answers
Whenever I am out shopping I see ladies who I think must belong to some sort of sect - wonderered if anyone knew anything about them. They are always very soberly dressed, always have long hair and always wear a little head scarf. Wonder what sort of sect it is where you can spend every day shopping..?!

Even the little girls wear a headscarf but the boys and men wear normal, fashionable clothing. They also drive brand new 4x4's and one particular family lives in a very posh house. Methinks I should change my religion ;O)
Yes, Plymouth Brethren, they have to live in a detached house and cannot eat in front of people who are not members of their Church, so they usually live fairly close to a school so the children can come home at dinner time. They don't watch TV and I'm not sure if they listen to the radio or not. I don't think the women work so they are probably filling their time by shopping. Either that or they need to go food shopping every day to feed their brood!
the nursery next to our yard are PB, and they ask us to send & recieve faxes for them, as they arnt allowed faxes,[ so there is no out side influence, apparently] no mobile phones, or any computors, they must eat separatly from others, none of the workers are allowed radios in the trucks, and all their paperwork is typed the old fashion way, no microchips. they are extreamly polite, well mannered. oh and have loads of children. and the women drive like lunitics, [too much oppression me thinks]
