Todays Scotsman paper carried an article about a rowdy family who had been ejected from their house for 6 weeks. I am sure the neighbours are delighted, but i wonder - where does the family go? Does the council have to house them elsewhere in the interim? Do they have access to their clothes, furniture etc?
My wet lefty liberal head says that everyone should have the right to a roof over their head but my with my Loosehead on i would say - sod em! A council house is a priviledge and not a right and these scum bags have given up that priviledge by ruining the lives of decent people.
Where they go is their problem and perhaps they should have thought about it before they started making everyone elses lives a misery.
I assume that they are put somewhere else, unless they have friends/family they can stay with. And i would've thought they'd let them pack their clothes before leaving.
I wonder about a similar situation, our council advertises that if you get behind in your rent on your council house, they will evict you. Don't they then have to provide a house for a homeless family?
