i am really proud to be british i think the people are brilliant for example after the tsumami the amount of fund raising that went on. what makes you proud to be british and if your not proud why?

Like hopalong im Scots 1st and British 2nd and proud to be both, but, Scots 1st always.

Im proud because in my opinion, the British people all of our nations) have given the world so much good things. Our history (from 1066 onwards) proves that we have invented more, discovered more, enlightened more than any other country. We saved Europe in two world wars, (forget America, they only came in when their interests were threatened, in 1940 Britain stood alone). We started industrialisation, gave the world a monetary system (the gold exchange) and lets not forget democracy. If you are reading this in English, thank a British soldier.

We have all racial groups which live side by side in relative harmony, we have freedoms in this country which others cabn only envy, in short, the British nation is a beacon to the rest of the world, more so than America, and the world looks to us as an example of how to do things right.

Thats why im very very proud to be Scots and British

We Can all read books & quote family history, But like yourself i,m sure your proud to be scottish & me English, Did i touch a nerve that i was English, If you can read my post, it says,WHERE ARE YOU FROM, {loopy}, Not johnlambet, I am proud to be English, & if the Irish, scots, or welsh are by my side, i would be very proud to be beside them, [ps my wife is Irish] But at the end of the day i.m English, so if you are reading this in ENGLISH john, Your scots 1st. i,m English 1st, thereafter wer'e an island.

ENGLISH 1st British Second and live in Wales we should all be proud I love the Scotch the Welsh and the Irish apart from when we play them at football or rugby I also love the way we can take the P--s out of each other,but when it comes to looking out for each other against the rest we are one Nation
