does anyone know any hotels in bournemouth that are for young, lively people. I stayed in blackpool recently in a hotel that had karaoke til 4 in the morn and a late bar - anyone know if this exists in bournemouth - thanks

Lee Evans did a routine once about Bournemouth, said it was so full of oldies that the shops had bifocal windows and the sign welcoming you to the city said "BOURNE-MOUTH" (ie as if saying it very loudly and clearly for the wrinklies to hear). I'm sure this isn't true tho!!

kick3m0n - you're all wrong i'm afraid! Bournemouth has the most amazing nightlife ever!

blond_law - i don't know about specific hotels i'm afraid, but loads of young people go down there to stay for weekends all the time for the sole purpose of the nightlife (popular for stag dos, hen weekends, etc.) so i'm sure there's loads of hotels for young, lively people. The nightlife is so great though - so many places to choose from that it's a shame to spend the evening in the hotel! :)

i lived in bournemouth for a while, ...and oh my god...its full of night clubs and bars...in fact...its so bad that if your not in one by 10pm then the chances are you will have to q for ages to get in...Bournemouth is clubbing capital big time!! you will not be dissapointed!!

As for hotels there are loads of them about and BnB's

I agree with sammd, loads of people go there for weekends to go clubbing.

As for hotels, Hilton is central, so in the Norfolk...the Grand is pricey and full of old foggies, but has a good pool.http://www.bournemouth.co.uk/

go for a central hotel because you wont need a taxi to get back to hotel in the wee small hours :o)

Why do you want to be in your hotel at 4am most clubs dont close till 6

Don't go. You'll hate it. The place is dead. There's a park with lights all the way through. Well not real light, candle lights. There's the Bournemouth Eye. It's a balloon that goes up and down, and is more expensive than the London Eye. Avoid the place like the plague.
