How can my best friend get money from her ex. To elaborate - he walked in to her life, left her 3 mths after their daughter was born, left her with 45k debts secured on her home. She's now having her home of 11 yrs repossessed and he's walking away without having to pay a penny! How is this fair? Is there a way to make him pay for what he's done - in a legal manner of course! Is there any chance of getting an attachment of earnings?

Well there are a lot of imponderables here, is her name on the house title, what is the equity in the property, how old is the child(ren) and is he traceable. What sort of a job might he have, what might his earnings be and also could she not sell the house as there must have been quite a rise in the equity in eleven years .. etc. etc. Best this is to get some legal advice and fast, or if you would like to give some more info I am sure people will help you further .
