Faliraki: Rhodes

Has anyone been to faliraki in rhodes, im going there early july with a group of friends. We're staying in a place called the "Royal Rose", doesnt matter if you've stayed there or not. some first hand info on the place would be good. not the promotional rubbish they put in brochures!

Also ive heard its blistering hot there in the summer. i went to tenerife a few years back and it was good and hot there. is there any difference in the average temperatures??

lovely island. you must go rhodes town you can spend a whole day especially in the walled market. Buses ever so cheap to get there. Also a trip to Symi is well worth a visit but best to book at harbour in rhodes town much cheaper that booking through hotel.We hired a car for 2 days and went right round the island but dont go up any mountainous roads you are warned you could get lost.trip takes about one and half hours went on the "nikolaos x. to symi from mandraki harbour which has lots of history attached to it.not sure about july temp i went in sept. and it was hot then Food excellent. hope you enjoy your holiday

I went there in July a few years ago with a group of girls, the weather was perfect and hot and we spent every day by our pool. Nightlife is really good, excellent atmosphere. Food is nice and cheap and there is a mcdonalds near the end of bar street! I remember a good club called Bed altho its probably changed its name by now. One thing I would say...we went to a beach party which tickets were sold for by people in the street and in shops etc, and the WHOLE of Faliraki seemed to go. We had to fight to get on to a bus and then when we got there it was so packed we spent an hour trying just to get onto the beach and then gave up. Would not reccommend that.
