After reading about Chavs, here's something which will get you thinking. These baggy trousers everybody is wearing that fall off everybody's behind (choice, I say choice) comes from the New York pick pocket gangsters that need as baggier trousers they can get to stock everything into. The no belt and no laces fashion comes from being the big boys who do prison and aren't allowed laces and belts in the cells. Apparently, this sorts the men from the boys!!

It goes to show fashion should be looked into before you go along with it!

Actually you would find that it might have been adopted by them but didn't actually come from them. It started in the ghettos, where most families were really poor and the clothes of older children were passed on to smaller ones. This is where the oversize came from, later it was just adopted to have a smaller waste.
