Being Ignored

I have 2 friends whom I wouldn't say are close, but when we are chatting I find my responses and my imput being totally ignored! It really infuriates me. I think it is just the little acknowledgements that seem missing in the overall conversations that really bother me. You know, the "Oh really" or "I know what you mean" that most of us imput into a conversation.

I find these hard not to do myself. They both just want to get their own conversation across. Does anyone else have friends like these?

I mean it though; these 2 people are both the same in the way they initiate the conversation but don't want to know my side of it. Think you're right there don1.

Chill out sunflower, see less of them, I'll bet you are quite bored with their company anyway, they sound very self-obsessed, not a nice quality.

Forget them. They are treating you like a gooseberry. If they are on their high horse and dont allow you to converse properly - stay well away. You dont need their company and dont waste your time with them. They are utterly boring and small minded.

My best friend in the whole world talks at me and not to me most of the time, I listen cos thats what friends do but rarely get a word in edgeways. You've always got us at answerbank tho hey hun! Just turn off when they are talking and smile and think of what you need next time you go shopping, thats what i do...

Thanks chaps. Fortunately my closest friends are not like this at all. One of the ignorers is someone I work closely with at work so will have to change my tack with her methinks.

Sounds like they are aquaintances not friends.

Remember if you can count all of your friends on one hand you are very lucky. And that is throughout your lifetime.
