Yet again Gordon Brown has increased child benefit/tax credits etc in the budget. If people choose to have children, why can't they just pay for them themselves? What about the people without children who don't put extra strain on the NHS, environment, over population.....

Yeah - King Herod had the right idea didnt he?
You dont have cats by any chance do you denise?
Over population is NOTY an issue in this country. Infact, with an ever aging population, we actually need MORE children to be born to start paying taxes and look after the oldies. So actually people who don't have kids could be seen as selfish and not contributing sufficiently to the future of their country. Or maybe not, but it entirely depends on your point of view, doesn't it Denise? I'm not sure how having children puts extra strain on the NHS. Again, much of that is caused by an aging population. You won't be old though, will you? So you won't ever put extra strain on the nhs and need looking after I guess.
I dare you to post this in Parenting :c)
Well said all of you!

Well done kick3mom well pointed out can only guess that you are single Denise and yeah i agree too jack the peg.

Go on Denise give us a laugh post it in Parenting.

this is just a troll post
I just got rattled by it and attempted a few replies but then thought it wasn't worth the hassle, if it is a troll post well spotted, if not, i hope one day denise realises that grandchildren are God's gift.

kick, i'm in agreement again with you?

Denise, are you nanny Mcfee.

What do you think that Mr Brown should of done then, Do you believe in a future without children?

Just one question for you, i'm 44 with two children, never been out of work, contribute like other workers to N.I every week, even tho not been to the hospital or doc's for 20 odd years, but am i asking for a rebate on my N.I. why should i pay for the likes of you then, assuming you've been to the hospital/docs, its not fair is it? but we have to, like you have to help out child benefit/tax

I agree with everything everyone has said here (except for Gary Baldy's implication that only people like denisegordon have cats)

But I would like to ask - what is a troll post?

Question Author

Actually I'm a dog person.

I did start it off in parenting but thought that would just be asking for trouble. Obviously we need children but I just don't see why tax payers have to pay for other people's children.

And I meant over population of the world rather than the UK.

a troll is netspeak someone who makes deliberately provactive posts - i think such people should be charged for making such posts- at ...... a troll booth!
I See. Thanks for explaining this Tali, and I think your joke about the troll booth is very t(d)roll.
phew ! i thought you were going to say it was a load of.......trollocks!
