Has anyone ever been to see Santa at Harrods? I've always wondered what its like as the prices are high to see him and the queues always seem to be frightfully long. Is he a particuarly good santa? Is there an amazing grotto/gift? Thanks xx

I used to work in harrods in the department that had santa every christmas until a couple of years ago. its free to see santa but the queue can be up to 3 hours long. they employ 'pixies' to entertain the children meanwhile and if your lucky you might get a few biscuits thrown in. Thats it. if you want a pic of you and santa then you'll probs pay about 12 quid for it...

ta polly! one day i'll queue up 2 c him when i have a spare afternoon :-) somebody told me it was 50 quid! but as its free i mite pop down. xx
We took our 2-year-old son last week. It was 9.95, for which you got a badge each, a book for the child (not gift-wrapped) and a photo of you taken with Santa. We joined the queue near a sign saying '3 hours from this point' but it actually took us 1 hour 15 minutes. There were free bottles of water, biscuits and sweets for those queueing. We thought it was worth it - the photo is an excellent one, and it is a proper grotto and not Santa just sitting in a sort of hut.
