this has probably been asked on here numerous times but here goes anyway. what was everyones favourite toys or games when they were kids? Mine were my Girls World, a doll called Tracey tea party and my brothers game, whirly wheelers.4 little men on bikes racing round a track! i recently saw this game on e_bay and they were askinf for 30 quid for it. Wish we'd kept it!

I loved my Sindy and Amanda Jane ( I loved all the different clothes you could get for her, including a Brownie outfit), playing Careers, a mosaic tile game to make pretty pictures (well I though they were!) and colouring in! The one thing I always wanted and never got (sob sob) was potty people, the pots and pans with faces on.

Loved my Girls World, though I remember being very dissapointed that her 'magical growing hair' didn't actually grow back when I cut it off!
I had a Huggy Bear. Not a character from a 70's cop show but a little bear that was designed to hold onto your arm, bedpost or whatever.
My favourite however, had to be my roller boots. My mum let me spray paint mine gold cause I wanted to look like the Martini girl.

i had a brand new bike when i was 15

ide had lots of bikes, but never a new one.

28 years later, ive still got the frame tucked away in the garage. rest of the bike went to the scrap yard in the sky, but will keep the frame for ever.

loadsa favourites!! here goes....I loved Poochie! It was a little pink and white dog with floppy ears and a heart shaped dog tag. Also used to love My Big Yellow Teapot which when you lifted the lid up it was like a house inside. Hope someone remembers these other wise i sound crazy! Anyway my brother sat on my big yellow teapot and it broke. I was devastated!! In fact i think i still bear the mental scars!

I was a child of the 80s, so Transformers, Ninja Turtles figures, Centurions, Scalextric and all the classic board games- Mousetrap, Operation, Atmosfear, the little-known Lost Valley of the Dinosaurs etc. I was also coerced into playing with my sister's Barbies and My Little Ponies, but we don't talk about that...

I remember one of my favourites was 'Sweet April' she was a tiny little doll who came in a plastic case with a swing and you could buy little clothes for her.

i waited for ages for a baby doll called 'Pedigree'. on xmas morning my sis got up first and opened it and then broke it...i cried all day cos i couldnt believe santa had gave me a broken dolly...my parents couldnt say anything and my sis confessed years later..prize bitch she was..from then on she would get up and swap prezzies...ahhhhhhhhhh!

I most remember loving my Noppers (which where bricks you could stick together).

My mother gave them away without asking me, and that bugged me then, and has been bugging me even more, since I got pregnant.

They are not made anymore, but I recently found some on Ebay (and paid a fortune).

I loved all my "creative" toys such as lego and meccano. (I later became a bricklayer so perhaps I was still living out my childhood as an adult!)

I also had a fantastic jeep type car called Mighty Mike. It came with a length of track and "scaffolding" to build the track with. When you set it going, Mike would climb up the track no matter how steep it was.

I borrowed a golf type toy from a friend of mine and it was fantastic. It was a golf club which had a little golf player instead of a clubhead. It came with different clubs and little balls. When you operated the trigger mechanism the golfer would take a swing at the ball and play a perfect chipping shot.

I can remember buying some of the toys already mentioned for our daughters when they were younger. The big yellow teapot and the tree house were faves, and also a lovely PollyPocket house. I remember sitting up till about three am one Christmas eve putting stickers on one of the girls toys, some sort of dolls house, but my favourite of our girls' toys was something called a "Merry-go-copter." It consisted of a helicopter which took the little ballbearing people on a little flight then dropped them off at the top of a helter-skelter. From here they would slide down and wait at a station until the train came round. They'd get on the train and take a little ride, eventually getting off at the lift, where they would then be returned to the helicopter. Absolutely brilliant, kept the kids (and myself) amused for hours!!!

gazzawazza, my brother had the golfer too. it was Arnold Palmer. You got the grass (foam) and it was really good.I had forgotton about that. Theres some nostalgia going on here!

Mine was a Pippa doll, they used to sell them in woolies, think they were about 6 inches high. I have still got my Sasha doll :)

A talking doll (I cried with happiness when I opened it on Christmas Day), a dolls pram, a tea set, a yellow Baby Beans (which I've still got 32 years later!), Tiny Tears, Girls World, Sindy (with her horse, riding outfit and bedroom furniture), Fuzzy Felts, Lego, Plasticine, Spirograph, Etch-A-Scetch and Berol Doodle Art (the big colouring-in poster).

Had great fun, thanks to my lovely Mum and Dad!
