Mine is because I play blues/boogie/jazz piano. I got from a song in a movie where Clint Eastwood played a country singer. The lyircs were 'Throw your arms around a honkytonk man".
No I don't aspire to being a Pickle! It's a fairly boring story but here goes anyway!
I had to choose names quickly one day when my husband was setting up his home network. I was eating a cheese, ham and pickle sandwich at the time and decided to call our 3 computers those three things. I chose Pickle for me because it sounded better than the other 2 choices. Since then I've been Pickle everywhere on the net.
I wouldn't say it's particularly revealing (apart from my anorak), it's simply the name of what is regarded as one of Sir William Stanier's finest achievments.
Parts of my name with some "zz"s and some "a"s to spice it up a bit, stir and simmer for as long as it takes to type. Wish I'd picked a shorter one... Damn!
Well, since you ask, I was one of those involved in getting the wonderful John Otway a top ten hit late last year - so I guess that I have already lived out my name.
