Fancy Dress
18 Answers
Hi, I am going to an 80's themed fancy dress party in just over a week and need to sort some kind of costume out. Does anyone have any suggestions? Something nice and easy to throw together or find would be nice! Thanks in advance all. Diolch.

Then I used black electrical tape and put this round the edges and then put four lines on each side of box to make base for cubes. Then buy coloured card (red, blue, green, yellow) and white paper and cut squares to fit rounding off the corners of the squares. I just wanted something a bit different to the normal 80s pop stars. So I went as the messed up cube and my mate went as the solved one. :-) Everyone complimented me on it, just not so good when you fall over :-) If you wondered that was my sis above.
I've never been a fan of looking too goofy. If I were to go to an 80's themed fancy dress party I would do my own version of Modonna. A short poofy dress with crinalin underneath. A big red sash around my waist. Fish nets with bright red stilletos. Big big big hair - teased to the fullest. Blue eye shadow, pink blush with sharp cheek bones, black eyeliner, red lipliner with red lipstick. Lots of Glitter, bangles, fish net long gloves with lace around the top, big earings, and last but not least RED nail polish ;)
boyo bach- lol sorry man! Ok then don't do the Modonna thing. I would definetly go for a "Skid Row" "Aerosmith" look. So the first thing you have to buy is an 80's wig, and tight jeens (get the tight jeens from a "hand-me down" or Thrift store). Short jeen jacket, a ripped half- tshirt. ooohhh your gonna look HOT!
Thanks, great suggestions. At the moment the rubik cube is the front runner I think! I was thinking of turning up (not as a rubik cube....think of the complications) on....roller skates!!!!! Yes that's skates NOT blades!! Although 8 wheels + lots of drinks + 2 unstable legs = well you see where I'm going here!! ;-)
