I know this should be in sport, but I don't really want to get into a footie argument, as this is general interest.


Now that 'Big Phil' has turned down the England manager's job, and Steve McLaren is back as favourite, if you were him wouldn't you tell them to stuff it as you didn't want to be considered second best?


Mind you, if the Sun has a big expose on him tomorrow, maybe they won't offer it to him after all.

Steve McLaren is, like Curbishley, an opportunist who is very clever at using the media. He almost certainly knew that he would be the compromise candidate among the FA, and also knew that Scolari would turn the job down. I don't want him anywhere near the England team.

I just can't understand all the animosity towards McLaren. He has just taken his team to a European final and he is the current England No.2.

Hi lankeela, I reckon they should appoint that Max Clifford for the job. He is fantastic at exploiting people with very little ability and gets them a fat pay cheque as well. Sounds like a natural to me.
