On a train out of Waterloo I noticed a building near Vauxhall bearing the name 'The Interplanetary Society'. Is this their HQ? Who are they? What do they do? Thanks Lorna

It is The British Interplanetary Society and that is its headquarters. It was founded in 1933 The title sounds a little odd but it is in fact a serious institution , with charitable status, devoted to the furtherance of knowledge of the solar system and beyond. Its website is on www.bis-spaceflight.com. It publishes videos and news about existing and future space programmes among other worthy projects on the subject.
