That old chestnut... Because society has twisted values? Because of the church? Because a penis is more scary than a gun? Sheesh, I dunno!
I have never had a problem with bodies and their functions (there are a lot of people out there that cannot cope with the true facts of life).

I think a lot of the reason is my upbringing - not that we all walked around naked, but I was always encouraged to look at everything life threw at me with an objective view and make up my own mind. I didn't grow up with other people's prejudices forced upon me. I was allowed to listen to all views and make my own choice.

But you have to understand that we all have fears, some rational, some less so. Nakedness and nudity is one person's freedom and another person's real nightmare. The point is censorship and who decides what is acceptable and what is not.

Personally, I don't understand (as a female) why it is OK to flash women's breasts across our national press, but not OK to show a man's penis. But then maybe that's akin to voting standards a few decades ago.......

I don't understand why so many people find nudity shocking. I think it must be because of the way we have been warped by various religions over the centuries.

xyzz..the church i don't think it is.!?? ipek.. really nice answer.. the only thing is that man (or woman) cannot compare breasts with a penis or a vagina, ... the P & V are organs we use for multiplying, (boobies not realy) but even tho....vaginas are mostly hid behind a horrible(in my opinion) mound of hair which also covers some of our heads.. p'nses un4tunatley too.Cought naked we should all hide our heads. it is funny though, most of the nudes that i fotograph still go behind the screens to undress ! ? D.uk maybe i should think more abt the religions... cheers all
Whats wrong with pubic hair?
Question Author
comloulou , your question should probably be under either "how it works" or "body soul" but to try and answer it i would say, apart from finding them all over the place, toilets, beds, soups.. nothing, if you and yours are into it. i used to love them myself during puberty, but thats long past :)
Surely, the People and Places category is the perfect category for a pubic hair question.!
Thanks xyzzyplugh, I think its the right place to ask. The reason I ask is that I find it one of those debatable issues. I personally have no problem with pubic hair, it's natural, a sign of maturity as opposed to pre-pubescent smoothness and so long as you are a vaguely considerate human being your pubes really have no excuse for being in someones soup. As for the virgina being hidden under a mound of it, keep it trimmed and it only adds to a very erotic subtlety often sadly missing from the sex industry.
Penis more scary than guns... lol thats hilarious.
Pubic hair tends to impede the intended function of said female organs, I find anyway. Trimmed or no, snogging David Belamy without his false teeth in isn't my idea of fun. I note with interest your lament of the absence of pubes from the sex industry. Try sticking your own trimmings on the TV screen at strategic points, and half close your eyes. Hope this helps.
