Loveliest Voice ?

Who has the loveliest voice you know ? For me it is Claire Miller on LBC 1152/Heart radio.When she is on I just listen listen....

LBC seem to have 'got it right' when it comes to voices. All are lovely, but Claire has that edge for me.

I forgot - speaking voice - for singing it is Emma Kirkby.

Her Mozart "Exsultate Jubilate" is exquisite, utterly pure and note perfect.

I always thought Demi Moore had a sexy voice.I like the husky thing but not like Kathleen Turner! Yuk! two of the best male voices that i can recall offhand were Jimmy Stewart and James Mason!

Okay then - howabout Jonathan Pryce in Jumping Jack Flash with Whoopi Goldberg. All you got was the voice until the end of the film. Also the chap in the cointreau adverts "zee warmsth of we french and zee cool of you engleesh" - going gooey just thinking about them!!

I have a tape called 'Forces Sweethearts' & I love listening to her voice - reading people's love letters, etc., sent during war times.

There are loads I like - Joanna Lumley obviously, but I also really like Kirsty Young, Gabby Logan, and the Production Editor for one of the magazines i write for as well - and she has the looks to go with it!

I like Anna Ford's. It's not too posh, nor husky and has sexual allure without losing gravitas.

I love the soft irish twang to Terry Wogans voice, I like him when he presents Children in need as well.

Wogan is a very very funny man, you could almost have an entire discussion about him. Like the old bike in Carshalton Ponds on his radio show.

My husband thinks John Hurt has a rather interesting voice & Kate Moss sounds nice & unpretentious.

The loveliest speaking voices I ever heard were those of James Mason and Sir Laurence Olivier.

For a singing voice, probably Katie Melua.
