moving to london

Hoping to move to london in a couple of months and I'm currently looking at housing in the tooting area. Would people out there recommend this area? What is to do there? Good pubs and restaurants? Can anyone recommend any letting agents for that area or know of any property coming up to rent in august (must be pet friendly? Thank you

Are you sure? I'd personally cross the tracks and go to Streatham (especially the common end) as Tooting always seemed like somewhere better passed through, except for the traffic which frequently stops passing altogether. I'm sure many people must be quite happy there but it never did a lot for me...
