David Icke

Mad, bad or just prepared to go where others fear to tread? (his words, not mine). I've been reading some of Icke's articles on his web site recently and whilst some aspects of his theories I find a little far fetched, such as the reptilian shape-shifters, other aspects are quite fascinating, particularly his commentary on the post-09/11 climate and his problem-reaction-solution theory. Has anyone read any of Icke's stuff and did you think any of his theories were credible or just some 'V'-inspired mumbo jumbo?

Icke is a very clever media manipulator, for all his reptile nonsense. For example, when he first came out as the turquoise tracksuited Son of God, he had a date for the end of the world. Soon after it uneventfully slipped past, he popped up in the US, where he has been ever since. He's not made the mistake of prophesying the end of the world again..!

One of the least appealing aspects of Icke ideas is his virulent anti-semitism. His conspiracy theories are based on a Jewish New World Order conspiring against the apparently ordinary folks. Some of the stuff he comes out with just dangerous racism rubbish. I'm certainly not a Zionist (or even Jewish for that matter), but I can spot racist garbage a mile off.

Miss Zippy, you have read what Icke actually wrote and didn't find anything anti-semitic in it and yet, just because Waldo says Icke is racist, you believe it. Whatever any of us might think about some of the difficult-to-believe claims of Icke, there is nothing racist in any of his writings. Accusations of racism are just a good way for Icke's opponents to discredit him. You can really damage someone's reputation permanently by accusing them of being a racist (or paedophile for that matter). Even without proof, the mud sticks.

DavidUK, you have made a very good point about how easy it is to discredit people and, looking again at my response, I can see why you thought I appeared to believe Waldo's assertion. However, this is not the case; I was merely intending to thank Waldo for his contribution and note that I hadn't come across anything that I could interpret as being anti-semitic or racist in any way. Indeed, having read a few more articles on Icke's web site since I posted my question, I still haven't found anything that I, personally, can interpret as being 'offensive' in any way.

(All, please note, IMHO): Icke an anti-Semite? It sort of depends on your point of view, I think. He quotes from and appears to subscribe to the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, which has been a lodestone of anti-semitism for the last century -- including in Nazi Germany. Icke credits the document (which everyone but him knows to be a hideous fake) not to a Jewish conspiracy but to the Illuminati - you know, the 12-foot reptiles such as Ted Heath and Colin Powell who secretly rule the world and kill and torture millions of people. These are non-Jewish targets of his 'beliefs' but many other *are* Jewish, particularly the Rothschild family.

So. Some would say that giving any credence to the protocols is to be anti-semitic. Others think the earth is ruled by 12-foot reptiles. You take you pick.

I think David Icke is an amazinly brave and intelligent person. Ive been reading his books and visiting his website often and have found most the information he has discovered to be correct and very truthful, no matter how far fetched it sounds. In modern times one can definately see how the things he says can be interperated as being crazy and impossible, but thats all part of the plan to discredit those who have found the truth. Unlike a lot people in his field, he does not support violently overthrowing the government, but instead the answer to all our problems can be found through peace and love. Love for yourself and everyone that exists, especially the shape-shifting reptiles who need our love, not to be hated. Im very glad that he helping everyone to realise that you dont fight for peace, you peace for peace. Basicly just an amazing guy, really has changed my life for the better.

Icke is exposing a hidden agenda, the conclusions drawn from his own research and of others are, i believe based on credible facts and evidence if only one would care to thoroughly read his books as I have. Public perception defines Icke as lacking credibility, but his own words state clearly, he always goes where the evidence takes him no matter what the consequences. Time will soon tell whether Icke's theories about an insidious global agenda hell-bent on controlling the masses through fear and manipulation will emerge.. and I think in the end it will be a simple case of 'I told you so'

By trying to discredit Icke, either by calling him anti semite or a lunatic, further proves his point. That people are conditioned from the start to think and act a certain way and not to make waves. Though his Reptilian Agenda and the shape shifting bit is truly a hard pill to swallow, it is still makes for interesting reading and leaves you asking certain questions about history yourself (Dragons in history and in various cultures, serpents in the Bible, ancient symbols...). Even the human brain has a section that is known as the R-Complex (R for Reptilian) which is responsible for the basics: hunger, instinct, daily routine, CONTROL. Is this the part of brain that is responsible for the evil streak that we all carry within ourselves and which is often than not fueled by temptation? I don't read the Bible as often as I should but this certainly explains a lot. Also keep in mind, your eyes can play tricks on you, so just because you can't see it, doesn't mean it's not there. Simple Example: Look directly into any remote control transmitter while pushing a button. Can't see it! Now aim the same remote control at a video camera and look at the monitor. You can actually see the infra-red pulses of light through the video monitor. I also find it interesting how the most instrumental and influential people, The Khazarians, responsible for shaping our World History, are ever so conveniently hardly even mentioned in our classrooms.

As a journalist, I have taken photos of David Icke and found the guy compleatly different to how he has been portrayed in the press. In fact after meeting him i am prepared to offer a suggestion as to why he went through the rough patch when he was actually misquoted as saying he was the son of god. It is not for me to say who is right or wrong but the belifes that David have are so far from what the general population belive, you would imagine the mind would have great difficulty letting go of one belief system and taking hold of another. I understand what is meant by 'You have to breakdown to break through.' And i think that is what happened to David when he switched his belief systems. I would find it very difficult to completely belive what he understands as truth without major conflicts in my mind. These are some fantastic ideas he is dealing with. So many of which make too much sense to ignore.

after reading six of his books, watching two of his videos, and attending a 7 hour lecture, i have concluded that david icke is onto somethng very real, however difficult. as a man of jewish descent, i do not find him racist or anti-semitic and find cries of such foul to more reflective of the claimant. icke is a systems-busting spiritual warrior (not always popular) who reserves the right for everyone to think for themselves and preaches the ultimate powers of love, respect, and forgiveness. he is wise, couragous, and in the face of it all posesses a fantastic sense of humor!
