Holiday destinations- November

We are looking to go on holiday in November but were wondering where we could go where we would have guarenteed sunshine and hot weather! If we could get away in summer we would choose, Greek Islands, Spain, Majorca. But November isn't so warm there. Any ideas?

you might strike it lucky in Cyprus. More likely, try the south side of the Med - Tunisia, Morocco - or Egyptian resorts if they're not being bombed. Further afield, the Canary Islands and Florida will be warm, but beware of the hurricane season around Florida and the Caribbean; it's supposed to be bad again this year.

been to the Canary islands - Tenerife, Gran Canaria in October and it was beautuful each time - I suspect it won't be much different in November.

Egypt- I went just before Christmas 2 years ago, awesome weather.

Check with Foreign Office 1st though, re the bombings I mean.

word of warning about Canaries. Tends to be a couple of weeks of bad weather a year. Usually happens in Feb or Nov. Also, many of the bars and restaurants close for a wekk or so in November (In Tenerife South anyway) for essential maintainance because it's generally the quietest time of the year.

My wife and I are having the same problem. As we had a wedding and honeymoon early this year we can't go too far afield, so we were kinda settling on the idea of Cyprus as jno suggested.

Go to the web site of the Gambia Experience and all will be revealed. Hot, pleasant, lovely people and inexpensive.

One word of warning. Choose at least a four star hotel. The more you can run to the better. Standards are very different. Fantastic place.
