But please remember you are not a stand up comic in the Old Bull and Bush.

Short is best. Enjoy the day!
A good idea is to have the speeches before the meal so that all the nerves are out of the way and you can enjoy the food.
My husband has to make a speech next year at our daughter's wedding but he says he is not going to write anything down. He is just going to say what he is thinking at the time. Mind boggles. Hope you have a great day.

TO MAGGIE 01 everhelpful need to hijack your thread to thank Maggie 01for the advice she gave me along with In a Pickle whom I have already thanked.Maggie01 not seen you for a long time. This refers to 22/10/05.to tell or not to tell.Did as you said and x said he would prefer if she wasnt there as after all he did have a say as he had paid towards costs of wedding. So my daughter and I had to tell her and she understood. We had a beautiful day hope you have the same.
And everhelpful I hope you have a nice day too yes we did the speeches before the meal.
I remember my dad at my wedding, decided that he would bring up things from my past! This from time to time still gets mentioned, infact i think all my friends have memories like elephants, they never let me forget. I would advise you find out funny things that have happened to your soon be son in law, and maybe do the jokes on him, so much easier if the boot was on the other foot :)
