Everyone I speak to wonders why Lyndford Christie, the greatest sprinter London has produced is sidelined in the 2012 Olympic celebrations. I recall his nandrethol taking accusation was squashed. He is a really wonderful man and I know that he coaches promising kids for free.

He was actually found guilty twice.
He doesnt get on with Seb Coe.
He's an awkward, arrogant, self absorbed so and so.
He doesnt get on with the press.
Do you want any more reasons?

BTW what qualifies him being someone "London has produced". He was born in Jamaica and as far as i know he always represented Great Britain and not London.
Thanks Gary he has bought a house in the next road, I can't wait to meet him now! lol.
There was an interview (I think with Piers Morgans) on TV a couple of weeks back. I think it does stem from his very public barnie with Seb Coe who is of course the Chairman of the Organising Commitee. Linford rang up a radio show once and argued with Seb Coe live on air. Needless to say, Seb appears to hold a grudge.

I imagine he will be involved somehow, even if it is training new young athletes.

As someone once said, "He's a well-balanced athlete; he has a chip on both shoulders"

Thank you all for your views. Lynford may have been found guilty, but the drug testers have made many mistakes in the past and the British Athletics Association has been quick to accept. Remember Diane Modahl. I visited the site recommended by Rojash. I am pleased for Lynford if it materialises. Thanks
