Something to do?

Hi there I live in North Yorkshire and have the day off tommorow so my fella & I would like to do something. We were going to go to the seaside but the travel is ridiculous - takes about 3 hours and costs about �40 to get there. Can anyone suggest anything? Looked online at various websites but nothing fun or half interesting coming up - we're fairly young if that helps. Just want to have a good day out before we go back to boring work. Something fun but not overly expensive, pay day isn't for another week lol

If you end up going to York, go on the Yorkshire Wheel (mini version of London Eye). �6 each, when the wife and I went on it at the end of May we got 5 'laps' of the wheel; in London you only get 1! BTW, its at the National Railway Museum.
