Why do the tax payers have to pay for Camilla's security?!

I heard on the radio this morning that the tax payers have to fork out �4m per year to pay for the security at her house (which apparently she allegedly very seldom occupies, anyway!). Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmm, WHY?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you'll find SG that if you start on a thinly disguised anti royal rant based on no knowledge of the subject you are leaving yourself open to a bit of a kicking. Prince Charles for example paid 17m last tax year, yes I know inherited land yada yada, should live in a council house and work at MacDonalds, yada yada.

For the record: The Queen never paid ANY income tax until she was 76 years old in 1993. Since then she has been paying income tax but, under an agreement with John Major's government, she can pay whatever amount she likes. We, the peasants, are not allowed to know how much she pays nor how much wealth she has.
