Just the usual Ward-Minter tongue in cheeck stuff. On a post yesterday (which has been removed) he hoped that an ABer's family would be killed in an accident involving an elevator and that the ABer would get face cancer. Just the normal hillarious everyday laugh a minute Ward-Minter
johnlambert has argued with W-M many times about his military background, I have friends who are serving officers, and they would never stoop so low as to insult anyone in that manner. I think that army officers are taught about good management, and, correct me if im wrong johnlambert, but are they also taught about gentlemanly conduct?
Not many things make me angry, but this sort of pathetic stirring from some halfwit who feels the need to step forward to wave a flag REALLY p1sses me off.
FOR YOUR INFORMATION: W~M has NEVER abused a 'handicapped kid'... FFS... grow up.
I've only spoken to the gentleman once and he stuck me as intelligent and informed. he said he was ex Intelligence Corps (although he also said that people doubted him because he called it "Royal"Intelligence Corps), and as Im a former Major in the Parachute Regiment I have no reason to doubt him yet.
The post has been removed, leave it lie for God's sakes. That huge debarcle with FINA was as much her fault as anyone else's. This is cyber space, it's not important. I know the cancer jibe was unpleasant ( my sister has cancer) but people need to be self policing about what they say or everyone would be offended about everything. Things offend me on a regular basis but I don't go round calling for peple to be banned, it's ridiculous. Chill out, if you hate Wardy tell him, but what good will that do?
It's the NCO's who do all the shouting, just watch Bad Lads Army on TV, it's the most realistic programme on life in the army that I've seen, its just as it was when I joined up in '79.
When I was an instructor (S/Sgt) at the RAMC depot we had very strict guidlines as to what we could and couldnt do. Nowadays we have to act as surrogate parents.
lol @ jno, it's like that for the 1st week, just to lull them into a false sence of security, then on the their 2nd week in the army the poor dears dont know what'* *** them then it's too late to go home.
Even with the diluted language and softly softly treatment, they still find it tough.
