Is it true that Cornish Pasties used to be filled half with meat and half with something sweet or is it a myth and people are talking about a Lancashire Clanger?

I have lived in Lancahsire since 1958 and I have never heard of a Lancashire Clanger, I have heard of the Clangers, but they lived in Space not Lancashire.
I`m not sure about the Lancashire one, but there`s a Bedfordshire Clanger which is half savoury and half sweet. Go to http://www.bedfordshire.gov.uk/BedsCC/SDclange r.nsf/Web/ThePage/Bedfordshire+Clanger for detalis!
This site confirms that one half was meat and veg, the other half fruit.

when you go to cornwall a lot of baker still do them. There is one in Bude and one in Penzance that I feinitely know still do them, you get meat, potatoes and veg in one end and generally sweet apple in the other. I used to like them.
My grandad said it was a way of getting a pudding with your meal easily when you were out working in the fields or tim mines all day. Noone round here has ever disputed that it has always happened.
