It depends what sort of things you like doing. The weekend nightlife is great in sheffield. Walkabout has a live band every Saturday and The Republic is a cool club to go to. Or, in the daytime on Saturday, you could go to Hillsborough to watch Sheffield Wednesday thrash Grimsby.

there's an enormous shopping centre - Meadowhall. Nearish to the City Centre with very good transport links.
