I don't like cooking and am not very good at it, so I wouldn't dream of cooking for anyone I admired. However, if I got someone (like my son's girlfriend, who's a first-rate cook) to cook the meal, then I would invite Charles Dickens along, joined by Gerry Sundquist and Ioan Gruffudd. Then we could have a good old discussion about my favourite literary character. Of course, then I would have to invite John Mills as well, because he played the part before either of them.

Mind you, if I was doing the cooking, then I would invite the three girls from school who made my life hell - LW, JL and ML. I would mix in a one-dose, long-acting poison and watch suffer!!! Mwah-ha-ha-haaa!
