Upon a recent trip to GY I noticed between the Greyhound track and a pitch and putt course in Yarmouth Road a Helicopter company flying blue white and red helicopters at regular intervals.
What are these helicopters used for ? Dont think its air sea rescue as colours are wrong.
I think it may be for oil rigs ??

Many thanks for your answers.
I thought it was rigs but my husband said that it could not be as he commented that the colour of the helicopters red white and blue would not been seen very clearly in heavy seas i.e. air sea rescue is yellow or orange to make more visable.
We did enjoy watching them including the one that over shot the runway and had to go back and try again.. a rookie perhaps!
Well i worked with bristows and they travelled to the rigs with one crew and came back with the old crew who were off shift,,!!

Well when I was there they seemed to be taking off and landing about every 10 mins.
But why arent the helicopter colours more air sea rescue ones?
