sorry if this has already been asked........... i have tried to look through so as not to be repetative but there is far too many messages to go through. if on a parking ticket the time is just the time when the ticket was issued and not that the attendant saw you between time a and time b is it valid you think? thanks in advance
Sorry I don't realy understand the question. If a car is parked in contravention of the law, then the ticket is issued there and then, and usually a photo is taken of the vehicle in case you appeal. Whether the attendat saw you or not shouldn't make a difference. Perhaps you could clarify.
tks and sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
on parking tickets i have received in the past it has said that the attendant had seen me at say 10.33 and then again at 10.55 so its obvious that even if i was only loading for 20mins i was there too long and deserve the ticket.
but i received one yesterday and it was restricted to 20 mins but it just says i was seen in such n such road at 12.59 on 30/08/06
tks again
It may be that because the vehicle was left unattended (presume double yellows or some form of restriction was in place) that it could be asumed that you were not deemed to be carrying out the action of loading/unloading.
You need to check the details with the issuing authority, but as a general guide.....
Sorry booboo67 didn't read your second post fully.
If you were parked in a restricted time zone (20 mins, return prohibited within 2 hours) then the ticket should have a "from" time and a "to" time. Write a letter to the address on the back of the ticket contesting it and it will be quashed.
