These mansion houses were at one time located in Falkirk or in the area around Falkirk.
Who can tell me, who owned these houses and if they are still standing, what are they now used for?
I believe that during WW2 and just after WW2 some of these houses may have been used by Government Departments, but I cannot confirm if this is true.
Any background info about the houses will be much appreciated, by someone who is genuinely interested in local social history.
If you know of any other 'big' house that were in the area, please let me have their names.
